Atlético Peninsular es una academia de fútbol independiente enfocada en el desarrollo de niños y jóvenes en el deporte. El objetivo era hacer referencia al club de fútbol mexicano "MÉRIDA FC" utilizando los colores blanco, negro y azul. El objetivo era crear un escudo moderno y representar la ciudad a través de una de sus aves más notables, el To Bird.
